Webex new features

Dear Webex User,

We are writing to you to inform you of some new features released and coming soon to Webex.

Cisco updated our Webex site to their latest version 40.9 yesterday, September 7. In this update, Cisco improved the interface for meetings by creating more intuitive management features, including an audio and video preview and persistent meeting controls. For more details about the update, visit https://help.webex.com/en-us/article/nrebr3c/Get-started-with-Webex-Meetings-for-hosts

The ability to assign a cohost role and create breakout sessions will be released on the morning of September 15. With the cohost role, a meeting host can assign another participant host-like privileges, such as muting and unmuting other participants and managing the lobby. Breakout sessions enable you to create and manage smaller sessions with a set number of participants during the meeting.  More information about breakout rooms is available at https://kb.uconn.edu/space/IKB/10811540100/Controlling+Webex+Breakout+Sessions
